What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amounts. The Tenant must pay $14,674.48 by March 31, 2023, or $16,265.74 by April 7, 2023, to void the order. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay $12,329.92 plus $52.32 per day from March 17, 2023, until they move out. The Tenant must vacate by April 7, 2023, if the order is not voided.
