What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord served the Tenants with an N5 Notice of Termination on May 7, 2021 for arrears in water charges.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 21, 2022. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by February 21, 2022, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
