What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent that the Tenants owed. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on March 15, 2022, but did not pay the full rent for the period from January 15, 2022 to February 14, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,401, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 18, 2022, they will start owing interest at 3% annually on the outstanding balance.
