What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as specified in a previous order. The Tenant failed to meet the conditions of the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 9, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $13,062.53, which includes rent arrears up to November 7, 2021, costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $87.12 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting November 8, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 9, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest starting January 10, 2022.
