What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 24, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the Tenant does not vacate, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenant owes the Landlord $5,373.04, less any money already paid, which includes compensation for use and occupation and the application filing fee. The Landlord must return the rent deposit and interest to the Tenant.
