What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant paid all arrears owing for the period ending January 31, 2021 after the application was filed, but the Landlord's cost of filing the application remained outstanding.
The ruling
The order is limited to the Landlord's cost of filing the application, which the Tenant is ordered to pay. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 19, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
