What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants failed to pay rent from June 1, 2021, to February 28, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 2, 2021. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 10, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying the specified amounts. Tenants must pay $5,858.00 for rent arrears and compensation up to February 22, 2022, plus $70.44 per day starting February 23, 2022, and $186.00 for application filing costs. If full payment is not made by March 10, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
