What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant did not pay the full October 2022 rent by October 7, 2022, and failed to pay $1,000 towards arrears by October 20, 2022, as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 30, 2023. The Tenant must pay $10,859.79 plus $58.06 per day from January 20, 2023, until they vacate the unit. If the Tenant does not vacate by January 30, 2023, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting January 31, 2023.
