What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 29, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,795.54, which includes rent arrears up to June 18, 2021 and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $55.07 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting June 19, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by June 29, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
