What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to pay $5,000 in rent arrears by the deadline specified in a previous LTB order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 19, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,317.12, plus $35.26 per day starting February 9, 2022 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 19, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting February 20, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by February 19, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
