What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination, which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $183.26, which represents the balance of the Landlord's Board filing cost the Tenant must pay. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 24, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated from October 25, 2021 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
