What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The Tenants were ordered to pay the Landlord $22,090 according to a payment schedule: $2,100 by September 3, 2020, $500 per month from September 21, 2020 to December 21, 2023, and $490 on January 21, 2023. The Tenants were also required to pay full rent on the 1st of each month from October 1, 2020 to January 1, 2023. If the Tenants failed to make any payment, the Landlord could apply to terminate the tenancy without notice.
