What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's cluttered and hazardous rental unit, which was found to be a fire hazard by the London Fire Services. The Tenant failed to rectify the issues despite the Landlord's attempts to assist.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 11, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by August 31, 2021. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 31, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting September 1, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by August 31, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction.
