What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants did not meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 27, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $22,658 in rent arrears and $39.75 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting January 17, 2023 until they move out. If the full amount is not paid by January 27, 2023, the Tenants will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
