What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 17, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $12,580.99 in rent arrears and application fees, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $75.57 per day in compensation for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 until move-out. If the full amount is not paid by January 17, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
