What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 21, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $4,684.44 by December 21, 2021, which includes rent arrears up to December 10, 2021 and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by December 21, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting December 22, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by December 21, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
