What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Tenants had not paid rent since September 29, 2020. Tenant claimed to have made a payment of $18,429.97 on the day of the hearing but could not provide proof.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 4, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying the full amount owing. Tenants must pay $30,462.98 plus $60 per day from February 22, 2022, until they move out. If full payment is not made by March 4, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
