What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit as of the hearing date but did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $25,723.06 by October 31, 2022. If not voided, the Tenants must move out by October 31, 2022, and pay the Landlord $22,974.83 plus $55.04 per day from October 12, 2022, until they move out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting November 1, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
