What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant did not pay the full rent owed from January 1, 2020 to November 30, 2020, and the Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the application date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 30, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,228.66 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $38.64 per day starting November 26, 2020 until the Tenant vacates. The Tenant must also pay the $190 application fee. If the Tenant pays $1,618.30 by November 30, 2020, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
