What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $5,095.10 to void the order and continue the tenancy, or $970.10 if the tenancy is terminated. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $27.12 from 2022-09-15 until move-out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by 2023-02-28, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
