What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent and substantial interference. Landlord served valid N4 and N5 notices, but Tenants did not remedy the issues. Tenants vacated the unit prior to the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 23, 2018. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $7,840.54, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and the application fee, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenants must also pay $59.18 per day for each day they remain in the unit after March 13, 2018.
