What happened

Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlord failed to meet the Landlord's maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards.

The ruling

The Landlord is ordered to complete the required maintenance work by September 30, 2019. If the Landlord fails to complete the work by the deadline, the Tenant is authorized to deduct $100 per month from the rent until the work is completed.
