What happened

The ruling
The Landlord failed to meet the Landlord's obligations under subsection 20(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 to repair and maintain the rental unit. The Landlord was ordered to pay the Tenant a rent abatement of $900 and $181.02 for hotel expenses, for a total of $1,081.02.
