What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to undue damage to the premises, substantial interference with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment, and illegal acts involving the production or trafficking of illegal drugs.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 10, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $500 for the cost of repairing the electrical wiring, $12,902.94 for compensation of use of the unit from October 30, 2020 to July 5, 2021, and $59.18 per day from July 6, 2021 until they vacate the unit. The Tenants must also pay the $186 application fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by July 10, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
