What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlords and the Tenant is terminated as of September 30, 2020. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before September 30, 2020. The Tenant shall pay to the Landlords $6,685.34, which represents compensation for the use of the unit from December 1, 2019 to September 11, 2020, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlords owe on the rent deposit. If the Tenant is still in possession of the rental unit, the Tenant shall also pay to the Landlords $26.30 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from September 12, 2020 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlords the full amount owing on or before September 22, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest.
