What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order. The Tenants did not meet the conditions specified in the previous order to pay the rent arrears or vacate the unit.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 5, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $15,566.00, which includes the rent arrears from the previous order plus additional rent arrears and the application fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by March 5, 2021, they will owe interest starting March 6, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by March 5, 2021, the Landlords can file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
