What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants failed to pay rent from June 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021. The Landlords served a Notice of Termination effective July 23, 2021. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 17, 2022. Tenants must pay $8,431.55 plus $39.45 per day starting January 7, 2022, to the Landlords. If Tenants pay $9,336.00 by January 17, 2022, the eviction order will be void. If not paid, the Sheriff may enforce the eviction from January 18, 2022.
