What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant argued that there was an agreement to reduce the rent from $1,150 to $1,000, which the Landlords denied. The Tenant also raised maintenance issues but failed to properly notify the Landlords or provide evidence as required.

The ruling

The Landlords' application for eviction is denied on the condition that the Tenant pays $2,000 by February 28, 2021, $650 on the 1st of each month from March 2021 to February 2022, $1,000 on the 20th of each month from March 2021 to January 2022, and $825 by February 20, 2022. If the Tenant fails to make any of these payments, the Landlords may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
