What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for personal residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 15, 2022. Tenants must pay $7,939.73 for use and occupation from June 1, 2022 to November 8, 2022, plus $49.32 per day from November 9, 2022 until they move out. The Landlord may file for eviction with the Sheriff if the unit is not vacated by December 15, 2022.
