What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's actions that have seriously impaired the safety of other persons in the residential complex, including threatening to burn down the complex, assaulting another tenant, and threatening another tenant with a knife. The police have been called numerous times due to the Tenant's actions.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 13, 2022, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $19.73 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from March 9, 2022, to the move-out date, as well as $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 13, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
