What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants had been late in paying rent 15 times in the past 37 months, with the last 12 months being late every month from February 2021 through January 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 30, 2022. Tenants must vacate by this date or face enforcement by the Sheriff starting December 1, 2022. Tenants are ordered to pay $23.84 per day from November 2, 2022, until they move out, plus $186.00 for the Landlord's application filing cost. Interest will be charged on any unpaid balance from December 1, 2022, at 3.00% annually.
