What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Tenants failed to pay rent from July 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. Landlords served a Notice of Termination effective September 1, 2021. Tenants did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 30, 2022. Tenants must pay $7,962.45 in rent arrears and compensation up to January 19, 2022, plus $39.45 per day from January 20, 2022 until they move out. Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the application filing cost. If Tenants pay $8,586.00 by January 30, 2022, the eviction order will be void. If not paid, Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting January 31, 2022.
