What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord also proceeded for termination on the basis that the Tenant, another occupant of the rental unit or someone she permitted in the residential complex has substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord, and/or has impaired the safety of any person.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,365.75 for arrears of rent and compensation to August 15, 2020, and $190 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by June 5, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
