What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the Landlord's reasonable out-of-pocket expenses that are the result of the Tenants' failure to pay utility costs they were required to pay under the terms of the tenancy agreement.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,139.40 for the reasonable out-of-pocket expenses the Landlord has incurred or will incur as a result of the unpaid utility costs, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $2,340.40. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 4, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
