What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Landlord's good faith requirement of the rental unit for residential occupation by the Landlord's son for at least one year.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord compensation of $30.33 per day for the use of the unit starting February 1, 2023 until the date the Tenant moves out.
