What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay $400 towards arrears by November 20, 2022, and did not pay December 2022 rent on time.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate by March 26, 2023. The Tenant is ordered to pay $9,693.14 to the Landlord, representing rent arrears up to March 15, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest. Daily compensation of $43.25 is owed from March 16, 2023, until the Tenant moves out.
