What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to provide access to the rental unit for inspections and showings to prospective buyers. The Landlord claimed the Tenants' conduct substantially interfered with the Landlord's lawful rights.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 8, 2016. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $201.23, which includes $31.23 per day for use of the unit after the termination date and $170 for the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not pay by October 8, 2016, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
