What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant has not paid the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from November 1, 2017 to October 31, 2020. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective January 21, 2020 due to the rent arrears.
The ruling
The Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant is denied subject to the Tenant paying the outstanding $700.77 in two installments and continuing to pay the lawful rent on time. If the Tenant fails to make any of the required payments, the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
