What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord or the Landlord's agent substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex by the Tenant or by a member of the Tenant's household. The issue was the disruptive behavior of the tenant living directly above the Tenant's rental unit and the Landlord's response to the Tenant's complaints.
The ruling
The Landlord shall take all reasonable steps to decrease the sound being transferred from the upstairs unit to the Tenant's unit, including installing carpeting upstairs and retaining a qualified contractor to make recommendations on installing other soundproofing measures.
