What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant, another occupant, or someone Tenant permitted seriously impairing the safety of any person, and Tenant, another occupant, or someone Tenant permitted wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the premises. Landlords also claimed compensation for the damage.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of October 1, 2021, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $2,493, which includes compensation for the use of the unit, the reasonable costs to repair the damage, and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 14, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest.
