What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant had not paid the total rent required from February 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 8, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $7,870.00 by January 18, 2022. The Tenant must pay $6,345.82 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $186.00 for application filing costs. Daily compensation of $24.66 is owed for each day of occupation starting January 8, 2022. If full payment is not made by January 18, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
