What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to illegal acts committed by the Tenant's son, who was an occupant of the rental unit. The Tenant was not present at the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 15, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date and pay the Landlord $2,381.34 in compensation for use of the unit from January 13, 2021 to March 15, 2022, as well as $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 15, 2022, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
