What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent the Tenant owed. The Tenant did not pay the full rent for July 2021 and vacated the rental unit on August 31, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective August 31, 2021, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 29, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
