Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by the Landlord's adult child.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 11, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date and pay the Landlord $4,276.35 in compensation for use of the unit from July 1 to November 30, 2021, plus $27.95 per day from December 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 11, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
