What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The Tribunal granted the Tenant relief from eviction subject to a payment plan. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $4,301.80 in arrears and costs, in monthly installments of $338.10 from August 2022 to July 2023, plus the ongoing monthly rent. If the Tenant fails to make any of the payments, the Landlord may apply to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant.
