What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the previous consent order. The Tenants failed to pay $1,200 towards rent by the agreed date.
The ruling
The previous consent order TEL-19966-21 is cancelled. The tenancy is terminated and the Tenants must move out by January 22, 2022. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $1,235.57, which includes rent arrears and costs from the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenants shall also pay $39.45 per day for compensation for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 until move-out. If the full amount is not paid by January 22, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
