What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on December 11, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 22, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $14,379.01, which includes rent arrears and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $108.49 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting February 12, 2021 until they move out.
