Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued by the LTB on October 12, 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 23, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,600.04 less any payments made after the application was filed, plus $32.65 per day in compensation starting January 13, 2023 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by January 23, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
