What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent that the Tenants owe. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on August 31, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from November 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay to the Landlord $12,516.00, which includes rent arrears owing up to August 31, 2022 and the cost of the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing on or before October 2, 2022, they will start to owe interest calculated at 3.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
