What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed but vacated the unit on October 31, 2021.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $1,000.00, which represents the amount of rent owing up to October 31, 2021, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before February 22, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at a rate of 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
